This is an account of "Spread a Little Magic", a child's tale, translated from the Swedish by Kyle.
Part 1:
Christmastime was drawing near.
In the midst of all the hubbub, little Karen was cold. Snowflakes fell down in this part of Sweden. Children were playing in the snow. But not Karen. Karen was a beautiful little girl, but was beginning to seem like her beauty was to go to waste.
Karen was depressed ever since her grandmother passed away.
Passed into an Undying Beauty. Probably was enjoying her happiness without giving a care about Karen.
She began to cry. Why was everyone happy-and not her? Suddenly she felt someone kiss her forehead. An angelic melody said "I love you."
Karen turned but saw out of the corner of her eye wings fluttering in the air. When she looked again she saw nothing.
"Does my grandmother miss me?" Karen asked herself. Someday, she knew she would learn the answer.
She thought she saw a sleigh. "Sinter Klaas?" she wondered (Sinter Klaas is the Swedish name for Santa Claus)
As the sleigh hovered over her, she grabbed it just in time.
Whoosh! Was she flying over oceans? That was impossible!
Finally, the sleigh stopped to a halt. "I am the patron saint of magic-I am Saint Nicholas!"
