I'm going to relate some norse legends with christianity. It may be weird, but I'll try to get my point across.
First of all, there was Sigmund, a man sent by Odin, the Chief norse god. He was brave, fearless and strong. Then he up and died and the only trace left of him was a magical sword. See, I think the magical sword could be like Eve's faith, once she saw the tree of the knowledge of good and evil God told her not to eat. Her faith was broken immediately.
Then Regin, the dwarf, tried to rejoin the sword to use it for evil, just like Satan the Serpent did with Adam's faith. Sigurd (Sigmund's child), like Adam, was tricked into killing a dragon that was Regin's brother. Sigurd was ashamed.
But later, Regin was defeated. (You can learn much more about the legend in Wikipedia. Just look up "Ring of the nibelungs") This is like how Jesus, at the Cross, at Calvary, at Golgoth died and defeated the devil.
So the lesson of both stories would be dealing with obedience, not to stray away like a lost sheep.
That's it. I just wanted to show you what I thought.
