Aspergers

I have a story to tell you. It is about a little boy who has a mental disorder known as Aspergers Syndrome.

One day God opened a window and sent a boy a gift. It was the gift of writing. This boy had done very strange things in his life.
One day after asking about suicide, his parents sent him to a psychologist. Her name was Dana Griffin. She said he had Aspergers Syndrome.
The boy thought that Aspergers was a disease at first. But then he realized that Aspergers was actually sort of a blessing.
His life went on. He remained different. He was thinking about how Aspergers was just one of Nature's tricks.
I was that boy. At first Aspergers may seem like a disease when it really isn't. Remember...Aspergers is just one of Nature's dirty tricks.
I know that this isn't a fable or a story. But in a way it is. And I am going to create a web show called Aspergian, to show no Aspies aren't alone. Kids may laugh at you, but if you have Aspergers, then this time the joke is on them. Ha!

  1. What a courageous story! The aspergian web show is going to be really wonderful. Now if we only had a video camera. You are a perfect spokesman for this little understood condition.

  2. Hey Kyle
I saw you in church doing your acolyte thing and was reminded I had your blog address.
I really like your Asberger's story and the way you see the positive in something that some people consider a negative.
There are so many ways that God is expressed in life in the unique lives and gifts of each of us.
Thanks for sharing yoiur story...keep on writing...
