INTRODUCTION
Today's date is Jan.6, 2010. And today we will present to you a tale told by a famous man named Aesop. It's called 'The Dog
and It's Shadow.' It teaches never to be jealous or greedy...
Once upon a time, there was a dog who had sniffed out a criminal. His reward? The dog got the most delectable and expensive
steak in the market.
The dog went up on a bridge called the "Lesson Bridge." Whoever steps foot on this bridge learns a lesson...
Lesson Bridge was silent and still. And so, the dog looked at his reflection in the water. The dog saw another dog with a steak.
His steak seemed bigger than his (this was caused by the ripples in the water)The real dog got angry because he had a smaller
steak. AAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!! The dog, not knowing very much, OPENED HIS MOUTH and growled.
The dog was so greedy and jealous at that time that he didn't notice his steak fall in the water(the steak fell in the water because
the dog opened it's mouth) The dog just whimpered and walked away. It had learned it's lesson.
This is a sad tale. However, it teaches that if we are not greedy (or jealous), we will go far in life.
Hey Little Man-I have enjoyed reading your stories. I forwarded the blog to Aunt B and Uncle Roy so they could read it as well. They can show MawMaw too-she will love it;-) You are brilliant!
